Casa Romantica's Classical Music Workshop is for first-time musicians or beginners that are looking to dabble in classical music.
Casa Romantica's annual Classical Music Workshop offers openings in piano, violin, viola, and cello to children ages 8– 12 with NO experience necessary. Activities include daily private lessons, introduction to music theory, reading music, group music-making, and unique lectures to give students a well-rounded music education. The Academy concludes with demonstrations for parents on the final day to show what they have learned.
The Classical Music Workshop is in session for 1 week (Monday to Friday, July 11 - July 15, 2022) with a daily schedule of 9 AM – 3 PM with the student demonstration on Friday, July 15. All activities are located onsite at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens and Casa Romantica provides the instrument rentals. Students will need to bring their own lunch.
Tuition for the Academy is free, but a $200 refundable credit card deposit is required at registration to hold the student’s spot in the program. You may choose to donate the full amount of your deposit to ensure the continuation of the program, elect for half of your deposit ($100) to be redeemed as a Family Household annual membership, or receive a full refund of your deposit upon the student’s full completion of the program. Class size is limited to 20 students.
There are limited openings for each instrument, so please double check you are registering for the correct one. If your preferred instrument is not available, you may join the waiting list and will be called in the event that a student cancels their spot in the Workshop.
Registration opens on March 15, 2022 through May 31, 2022. Students can only be registered through this website and the $200 deposit will be collected at that time.
