Rising Debater: Introduction to Congress (6th-8th)

In this interactive camp, students become lawmakers—proposing, debating, and voting on legislation just like Congress! They’ll also use AI responsibly to enhance research, evaluate credible sources, and sharpen their arguments. The camp builds leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, and concludes with a student showcase and certificate of completion.

In this engaging and interactive summer camp, campers will step into the role of lawmakers as they propose, debate, and vote on legislation—just like members of Congress! They will also learn to use AI responsibly to enhance their research skills, evaluate credible sources, and organize arguments effectively.

How it Applies to the Real World: This will develop campers' leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Deliverable: At the end of the camp, students will participate in a in class showcase where they will receive feedback and a certificate of completion to illustrate their learning.
