Our focus on practical speaking skills also helps students become more comfortable expressing themselves in various situations.
Principal for a Day: Campers will step into the shoes of a school principal and present persuasive speeches advocating for changes or improvements within their school community.
Campers will develop persuasive speeches advocating for changes or improvements within their school community, honing their ability to communicate effectively, articulate their ideas, and persuade others to take action.
This experience as "Principal for a Day" will apply in the real world by empowering campers to become leaders and change-makers in their schools and communities, fostering a sense of responsibility, initiative, and civic engagement, boosting their confidence.
Deliverable: Each camper will deliver a persuasive speech demonstrating their leadership skills and presenting their ideas for positive change to their peers and mentors, boosting their confidence.

Recommended Next Steps: Additional Young Speaker Camp or Little Orator Essentials Class.
